Complete Account Setup

Once you’ve logged in, the two areas to make changes to your account are Edit Sponsor Information and Manage Offers.

Step 1: Logged in as a Sponsor, select My Info in the lower-right hand corner. At the bottom, click Edit Sponsor Information:


Step 2: The Edit Sponsor Information section manages permanent information about your business that appears in your ads.

a) In the below example, the Sponsor Name field is where you list the name of your business. Make sure what your business does is obvious, for example, if your business name is ServicePlus LLC and you do Restoration contracting, it would be preferable to enter ServicePlus Restoration Contracting. That way customers know what you do right away.

b) The Active Sponsor field is where you can quickly turn all your ads on or off. For your ads to display, toggle this switch on (to the right).

c) The Sponsor Image field is the main picture for your business that appears in the listings for all your ads. It should be your business’s logo or your headshot on a white or transparent background.

d) The About Sponsor field is your business’s main description that appears in the listings for all your ads. In many cases, this information can be sourced from your website. It’s good to mention many things about your company’s background, and reasons why your company stands apart. Don’t get too wordy. Keep it to a paragraph or two. And it’s highly recommended to finish your description with some variant of ‘Press connect and call today,’ as that’s what you want customers to do. Pressing connect sends the user’s information to you and notifies you on your phone!


Step 3: Continuing through the Edit Sponsor Information, we have more information to complete:

a) Enter your company’s Website URL.

b) Enter your name in the Contact Name field. This information won’t appear anywhere. Note that if your business name features your first or last name, like certain Insurance Agencies, Law Firms, or other professional services, make sure the Sponsor Name field from the previous step is filled out accordingly.

c) Enter your business’s main phone number in the Phone Number field. This should be the primary phone number for your business.



Step 4: Continuing through the Edit Sponsor Information, we have some final information to complete:

a) Enter your business’s text messaging number in the Mobile Phone (Text) Number field. This is the number that gets texted whenever a users texts your business using the text feature.

b) Enter your business’s email address in the Email Address field. This is the address that gets emailed whenever a user emails your business using the email feature.

c) Enter your Address. Your address will not display in any listings or search results if you turn on the Hide Physical Address feature for your offers. Go to My Info -> Manage Offers to manage this setting (that’s coming up later in this walkthrough). Also enter your City, State, and Zip Code (not pictured) and then press Save to save your information to the database, and you’re prompted to Restart Guidecomm to view changes:




Step 5: Once you save your information, you may restart Guidecomm to view changes now, but you may also click the Back arrow at the top next to Edit Sponsor and you’ll be back to the My Info screen. From here, select Manage Offers. The Manage Offers section manages information about the specific offers that you make to your customers.

a) In the below example, the Associated Agencies field lists where this offer is displayed. If you’d like information about additional agencies, or you think your ad should display in other areas, please call 800-836-1982 and let your account specialist know, or use your website’s chat feature and ask for tech support.

b) The Active Offer field is where you can quickly turn this particular ad on or off. For this particular ad to display, toggle this switch on (to the right).

c) The Hide Physical Address feature, if toggled on, hides your physical address and displays “Services Your Area” to anyone viewing your ad. You’ll want to turn this on if your business does most work onsite and does not wish to promote an office or a storefront.

d) Offer Headline is where you control what offer you make to customers. If you need help, or would like to know what other advertisers in your industry have had success with, please refer to the Offer Builder section of our website or use our website’s chat feature and ask for Account Setup help.

e) Set Max Offer Amount controls the dollar amount in your ad. It will display ‘Save up to $x’ where x is the number value you enter. Make sure that amount corresponds to the offer you make in the above Offer Headline feature. Step 6: Continuing through the Edit Offer section, we have the rest of the information to complete:

a) The About This Offer field is the fine print that protects your business by setting the terms under which you’ll honor your offer. It’s prefilled for your convenience. As a reminder, we can’t give any legal advice and advertising rules and regulations change frequently and vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and you are responsible for ensuring any offers made to customers are compliant with your local laws.

b) The Banner Ad Text (if your plan allows it, please call or chat us if you have questions about your banner ad eligibility) is what displays on any banner ads that come with your service plan. c) The Main Image (landscape only!) section is where you upload or change out the image that appears across the top of your ad. Use an image that best captures what your company does. Simpler images are recommended. Images with lots of text aren’t recommended, as many users will view your ad in different screen resolutions and embedded words in the image won’t scale correctly for some users.

d) Additional Image #1 and Additional Image #2 (not pictured here) is where you upload or change out the images that appears at the bottom of your ad. Use images that best capture what your company does. If your offer includes a QR code or barcode for redemption, include this image in this space. Simpler images are recommended. Images with lots of text aren’t recommended, as many users will view your ad in different screen resolutions and embedded words in the image won’t scale correctly for some users. Once images are selected, press Save or Save And Preview to save your information to the database. Then Restart Guidecomm to view changes:
